Our Saddlebag Service Dog Vest Harness takes our flagship vest (SVD-0112) a step further by turning it into a full-fledged day-trip backpack. Easy on and easy off, the modular system could not be simpler and is able to be configured perfectly to your needs.

The vest construction begins with a top and bottom layer of extremely high-denier, poly-coated fabric and is fully padded inside with Wiredog's "No-Stink Interior Padding". That's right - no cotton batting that is going to absorb odor causing bacteria. This vest offers unrivaled strength along with water resistance. 
 
You can also get your dog's name directly embroidered into your new service dog vest if you'd like. Our embroidery offers a beautifully striking contrast that adds that complete look to your new vest. Please note, all embroidery is done in block letters by default.  If you would like your vest embroidered in a cursive font, please request this in the "Order Comments" section during checkout.

In addition to the saddlebags, this vest has a ton of practical and useful features: 
  • A right-side quick-clip for your ID Badge.
  • 3-Welded D-Rings for the attachment of a lead and other items.
  • Integrated rubberized molded comfort handle.
  • 360 degrees of Wiredog's REFLEX webbing to provide safety in low-light situations.
  • Quick release girth strap buckle.
  • Two patches on the vest and a patch on each bag (4 patches total).

  • Two Detachable (2) Saddlebags to carry the cargo you need for you and your dog.   Our detachable saddlebags are made with genuine YKK brand zippers.  When attached, the Saddlebags sit at an angle over the dog's shoulders for fantastic weight distribution.  They will sit at about a 35 degree angle.  Each saddlebag measures 4" tall x 7" wide x 2" deep and are great for emergency medical kits, waste bags, folding dog bowls and more!

The vest comes with 2 patches; one is located on the left-side (typical heeling side) and one is located on top of the vest for easy visibility and each Saddlebag is outfitted with a patch as well.   That's 4 patches total.

This vest also features our molded rubberized handle which is lightweight but provides a much better grip than traditional nylon loop handles. It takes up much more of your hand for a fuller, more stable grip. It is a Wiredog Original design element. 

Additionally, both the girth strap as well as the chest strap are adjustable for the best fit possible. This vest is available in 8 different colors to suit your style! Each of our SVD-0166 Saddlebag Service Dog Vest Harness include four patches of your choice (2 on the vest and one on each Saddlebag - see Style Types. Style must be the same for both patches on the vest) and these will be sewn on for you free of charge by the factory unless you request otherwise. 

All girth sizes are measured in inches. 
Sizes are as follows: (girth measurement) 26-28", 28-30", 30-32", 32-34", 34-36", 36-40" and 40-42"

A note about sizing - please make sure to measure your dog's girth, TWICE, for an accurate measurement. To do this, use a SOFT FABRIC measuring tape and measure your dog around the chest just behind the front legs. Make sure your dog is standing up while you are doing this. You can also circle your dog's chest with a leash and then measure the leash where you mark it.
  

Important Note: It is illegal to represent your dog as a Service Dog if your dog is indeed not a Service Dog. Wiredog will NEVER knowingly sell to an individual committing this fraudulent activity.     I like the vest and harness, but the saddlebags clip on at a funny angle. The front clip needs to be longer to level the bag. Otherwise it will work well. The leveling is an easy fix for me to do too.

    I am very happy with what I ordered. It fits alright, and comes in handy. Just what I was looking for! I found others that offered the vest, and had additional add ons; such as back packs, the Service Dog tag, patches, ect. For over one hundred dollars, NOT including shipping!I will be shopping here again if I ever need anything. :) Oh, and I received my vest within a week of purchasing. :) Very good service.

    I love this vest! The color is bright, bold and easily identifiable. The handle and all clips are all sturdy but lightweight. The two bags are an awesome idea. I can store my ID, cash, credit cards in them and leave my purse at home . I definite must for any service team.

    I had never purchased from this company before and I am more than pleased!! The vest I purchased is of excellent quality and looks to be very durable. It fits my german shepherd perfectly. It is exactly as described. The shipping was faster than I ever expected and the cost is better than I found anywhere. I would be remiss if I didn't mention the customer service of this company. I had a problem with receiving my vest because of the Post Office. It had nothing to do with PetJoy. When I could not get good service from the Post Office, I contacted PetJoy via their online customer service site (they had already closed for the day) and explained my problem. Early the next day, I received a phone call from a person at PetJoy. I never expected such a quick response to my delivery problem!! I was very impressed!!! Ultimately, I received the vest.I will be using this company again and will be touting their name to anyone I know that needs any type of dog product!!
