Sizing For a Service Dog Vest

Before measuring your dog's girth, make sure you have a SOFT TAPE MEASURE.  Do NOT use a metal one.  If you do not have a soft tape measure, grab your dog's leash and a pencil.  You can then use the leash, mark it with the pencil and then measure that off with a regular metal tape measure or ruler.  Also, please conduct your measurement in inches.

Also, make sure when you are measuring your dog for their new Wiredog working dog vest, that you pull your measurement nice and tight.  Our service dog vests are made to fit very snug so they do not flop around.

Remember to measure in INCHES.

How to size for a service dog vest

Step 1: Begin in the middle of your dog's spine on the top of the back between the shoulder blades.

Step 2: Go down the right side, underneath the widest point of the chest and up the left side back to where you began.

Step 3: Write down the measurement.

Step 4: Repeat steps 1 through 3 to ensure you have an accurate measurement.
