Our Service Dog Harness Vest is constructed from a top and bottom layer of extremely high-denier, poly-coated fabric and fully padded inside.  This offers unrivaled strength along with water resistance.  The features of this vest are many:

The Wiredog Service Dog Harness Vest features a clip for your ID Badge along with 3-Welded D-Rings for the attachment of a lead and other items.  This vest comes with 2 patches; one is located on the left-side (typical heeling side) and one is located on top of the vest for easy visibility.

This vest also features a molded rubberized handle which is lightweight but provides a much better grip than traditional nylon loop handles.  It takes up much more of your hand for a fuller, more stable grip.  It is a Wiredog Original design element.

Both the girth strap as well as the chest strap are adjustable for the best fit possible.

This vest is available in 14 different colors!

Each of our SVD-0112 Service Dog Vests include two patches of your choice (see Style Types.  Style must be the same for both patches) and these will be sewn on for you free of charge by the factory unless you request otherwise.  All girth sizes are measured in inches.

Style Choices are: Service dog, Therapy dog, Search and Rescue, In training, Working Dog, Ask to Pet and Do Not Pet.   Want the vest to hike the great outdoors?  No problem, select the "NO PATCH" option.

We've also made it easier for you to save even more!  Wiredog has decided to offer all of our Engraved Metal Service Dog and Working Dog tags at a discount when purchased with a vest.  These are a great addition and when you order the tag with your vest, you save big!  Choose from all the styles you see in the drop down menu to the right.

A note about sizing - please make sure to measure your dog's girth, TWICE, for an accurate measurement.  To do this, use a SOFT FABRIC measuring tape and measure your dog around the chest just behind the front legs.  Make sure your dog is standing up while you are doing this.  You can also circle your dog's chest with a leash and then measure the leash where you mark it.

THe Best Vest November 11, 2008

This vest was a great investment. Our 113lb German Shepherd absolutely loves ! He is a SAR K9 and gets very eager and excited about his job. We had gone thru 3 other vest due to his enthusiasm and came across this vest online. This vest is very durable and looks very professional. I can say that Dusty honestly has the best looking "Gear" out of all of the SAR K9's we have met so far. The set up of this vest is great as well. The handle on the back allows us to grab Dusty easily in a dangerous situation, or also serves as a means of getting him fired up before working. It's also very easy to put on and take off. We are just about ready to order one of these for our female....in "Hot Pink". Did I mention the variety of colors?? Everyone should be able to find any color they need if they want their dog to match their uniforms!

service dog vest functionality June 20, 2008

This vest is light weight and fitted and easy to put on the dog. I am too tall to utilize the attached rubber hand grip. (5'7") I use my 7" leash. The vest has two straps. One goes across her chest and is permanent and not adjustable. The only strap that adjusts goes behind her front legs/ around her ribs. The downside of the easy dress is that the vest won't stay in place. It immediately slips sideways on her body toward me- no matter how tight the harness strap is. Her other vests are difficult to put on her, but are much more stable throughout the day. Wiredog Note - The front chest strap IS adjustable on this vest, it just does not have a clip to remove it. By tightening this and the girth strap, the shifting should be dramatically reduced. Please make sure to call with any questions!
